Fashion Merchandiser
at Cynosure Corporate Solutions in Chennai
• Bachelor Degree in Apparel Fashion Merchandiser, or equivalent.
• Apparel background and a year of experience at least in some reputed export company.
• Have 3-4 years experience.
• Fabric knowledge of Woven and knits, embroidery, print, washes, finishes.
• Independent professional / a team leader.
• Steering merchandising efforts in harmony with the business objectives.
Giving prompt service in executing the sampling like proto sample, salesman sample, pre production samples, price quotes, bulk production follow ups &, fill rate.
• Production planning internally & with vendors & payment follow-up with accounts department for the fabric suppliers/garment vendors.
• Day to day follows ups on production activities & all garment process.
• Styling as per the tech pack & trims approvals, communicating the same with vendors verbally as well as telecommunication to stick on the delivery schedule.
• Coordinating with the business development / marketing team in developing standardized formats capturing the key metrics in logistics & commercial functions.
• Financial Accountability; Meeting financial objectives is the primary component of a fashion merchandiser's job. The merchandiser must maintain profitability by meeting certain financial plans set for each season.
• Customer Knowledge; In order to offer an appealing assortment, a merchant must be intimately familiar with the needs and wants of the target customer.
• Internal & External Communication with buyers.
• Preferably Male candidate.
• Adaptable, strong organizational skills with demonstrated initiative & able to multi-task in a collaborative environment.
• Good Communication in English, Tamil (Hindi will be added advantage).
• Date of joining: Immediate.
Responsibility:
Internal & external communication,
Sampling, Lab dips, Accessories & trims.
Preparing internal order sheets,
Preparing purchase orders,
Advising and assisting production, & quality department about quality level,
Mediating production and quality departments,
Giving shipping instructions and following shipping, helping documentation department.
Taking responsibility for inspections and following shipment.
